Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then paid off his obligations and fled to a secure base in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd close behind.

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, desires revenge.
- The adventurer knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
- Tyranny and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.
